Family Fun Easter Activities

Easter is just around the corner and the time has come to conjure up some fun, new Easter activities to celebrate the holidays. If you want to build your family bond and keep the kids busy all day long then guess what, this doesn’t automatically mean eating chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! There are many alternative pleasures associated with the Easter holidays that need to be revived.  Check out some of these great activity suggestions:

Outdoor Games

Let's think outside the box and venture beyond the traditional Easter egg hunt. Here is a series of lawn games that are sure to get the entire family off the couch and into the back yard. Why not try a family egg and spoon race, hopping like a bunny in a sack race across the yard or even an old fashion egg toss. If it’s a rainy day and you’re stuck in the house over Easter then try a hula-hoop contest, in a safe, spacious room of course, or test your agility at a balloon stomp.

Family Outing

Take advantage of your time together by doing something as a family. You could attend an Easter service, have a picnic in the park or head to the beach. Whatever you do, leave the mobile phone behind and be present and together all day long!

Arts & Crafts

Arts and crafts are a must, especially if the outdoor conditions are not ideal. Let’s get in the spirit of Easter and make bunny masks or decorate eggs with bright paints and colourful glitters.

Family Meal

Make Easter (or any holiday for that matter) a time to gather with relatives and close friends. The meal can be traditional such as fish or something more suited to your family’s tastes.
