Maple Spice Oatmeal

Ingredients (serves 1)

1/3 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp dried ginger
Pinch of sea salt
100ml Skim Milk to serve
1 tablespoon dried fruit (ie Saltanas and apple)
1 tbsp pepitas

Method

1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water, oats, and salt to the boil. Reduce heat to a simmer on low for about 10 minutes, stirring until creamy.
2. Stir in the flaxseed, maple syrup, and spices.
3. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Top with milk, dried fruit and pepitas.
