When starting on a weight loss journey, the road ahead can seem steep. Changing your lifestyle, your habits, and your mindset can seem like a daunting task. However, your goals ARE achievable, especially when working with your team on goals that align with your values.
These inspiring clients have been where you've been. They want to share their advice about what they wish they knew at the start of their journey in the hopes it inspires you.
My best advice to anyone looking at joining the program is to go in with open mind knowing that all the recommendations are based on a medically proven approach. Ask questions as I found every question I have ever had, the LifeShape Team has been able to answer and follow up with helpful recipes or exercise suggestions. If you need to lose weight to gain a healthier life, I strongly recommend LifeShape Clinic!”
“I should have done it sooner, it was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be!” says Yvonne. “I think that you have to be ready to make the change. And if you’re ready, just do it. The program provides so much support – it really is a worthwhile investment in your health and in your future. I’m now looking forward in a few years to a healthier retirement – being active and growing old disgracefully!”
“It’s important to determine your purpose,” explains Anthony. “You need to truly believe in your why, just go and do it and stay committed. The results are worth every minute of effort that you put in. For example, you may be working hard, going from meeting to meeting, with no purpose to living. Why you want to be healthy may change, but if you figure out what’s important to you it will put you in the right headspace to start the journey. It sounds terrible, but looking back, the shock of cancer was the greatest opportunity I ever had. I can see where I’ve been, and where I’m going. I won’t go back and I’m forever grateful to the LifeShape Clinic for what I’ve learned.”
"LifeShape Clinic has honestly saved my life! It has made me feel so grateful to have an incredibly capable, working body, which I want to look after. I finally feel good in my own skin and it has helped me resolve so many negative emotions around my appearance. I can’t recommend the LifeShape Program enough. My only advice to anyone considering doing this programme – is to do it! You will not regret your decision; you deserve to give yourself the gift of a better life. Consistency is key and if you fall off the path, just start again! Love yourself the best you can, be honest with yourself and the time will pass anyway so why not give it a go. The small investment in the programme is worth the lifelong results. All the best to anyone starting out, you are in good hands with LifeShape. If you put in the work, you will get the results.”
“I wish I could tell myself the road may seem daunting, but it’s not,” says Irene. “I wish I could tell myself the benefits will be far greater than you expect. For anyone thinking of doing a program, stop thinking about it and get started! If you’re not enjoying your life the way you are – only you can do something about it. I know from experience it’s not easy, however, if you take the chance you will find a life that is so much easier to live and so much more enjoyable.”
“I can’t recommend this program enough, it has literally changed my life and I am eternally grateful to everyone at the clinic for helping me. You will get the best assistance to reach your goal, and it will change your life. Don’t be ashamed to ask for help – no one will judge you. I wish I had done it sooner. Do it, you will be eternally grateful for it too. I will never forget what I have achieved, and will always remember how I felt before I signed up for the program,” says Carola.
“Be kind to yourself, take it easy and give yourself time,” advises Kevin. “Don’t think you will do it overnight and have a long-term goal rather than just what is on the scales. Most importantly, trust yourself. I knew I would not be able to do it by myself. The hardest part was just accepting what I did to myself and really just starting. Lots of people say they feel inspired by my story. I think it motivates them with the thought that if he can do it, maybe I can as well!”
“There’s enough stuff out there saturating you about being healthy these days. I think it gives you a false sense of security that you know what you’re doing on your own,” explains Emily. “I knew myself well enough to know I would be more disciplined if I was accountable to someone else. The way I think about it is, if I need help with something outside my expertise I will pay someone to get it done. I’m not going to tell you it’s easy, but it’s accessible – and it works.”
“I’m not good with the philosophical stuff,” laughs Ashlee. “But honestly, stick with it. Give it time and it will happen! I joined when I realised that I’d tried to do it on my own before, and it hadn’t worked. If anything, I had gotten worse. I knew I needed proper help from a professional team. Keeping really consistent at the start was the hardest part I think. Especially when you’re not seeing a lot of change, it’s hard. Instead, I worked hard to learn how to cook food that tastes as good as the food you get when you’re out!"
“Before the program, I never thought I could lose the weight,” admits Shaynee. “But I did and you can too. That’s what I say to people. It has really worked well for me and it will work with all kinds of people. You can definitely fit this around a busy lifestyle – you’ll find the time when you notice the changes. There’s flexibility with consultation times to see the team afterhours. It’s all a psychological battle in your head. It’s not about losing weight at all, it’s about making a better lifestyle.”
"Don’t be afraid. At the beginning I thought, how can I ever do this? To me, 40kg was an embarrassing amount to lose. But it does work. It’s hard to imagine in the beginning, but stick to it. Bring in other things, goals, aims, and smaller targets to incentivise you. It was my own initiative that got me started, and it’s been a good adventure. Once you get going you will build your own incentives," says Jon.
“Take the risk. Make the call. Get started,” urges Damian. “You may completely change yourself for the better. And keep a bit of cash aside because you will probably have to buy a whole new wardrobe!”
“If you’re thinking about doing it, do the whole thing,” says Peter. “There are always going to be roadblocks in life. You are going to have good days, you are going to have bad days and it is hard work, but it is worth it. The program has a lot of structure and they know what works.”[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
