Yoghurt Sauce
Extras
- Combine the mince with the garlic, carrots, zucchini, onions, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley and seasoning and mix together well with clean hands.
- Once mixed together, shape into burgers, either small or large depending on your preference and bun size.
- To make ‘Yoghurt sauce” combine the three ingredients (yoghurt, mustard and lemon juice together well and place into a serving bowl).
- Pre heat the BBQ or your pan to a moderate heat.
- Lightly brush the burgers with olive oil.
- When moderate temperature is reached add the burgers and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes on each side (depending on size and thickness) or until they are cooked through.
- Transfer the burgers to a plate, set aside and keep warm.
- If you are toasting the buns then, preheat grill on high. Place the hamburger buns, cut-side up, under the preheated grill and toast for 1 minute or until golden. Leave the grill on.
- To serve, top the bottom halves of the toasted hamburger buns with the burgers and then the cheese. Grill the bottom bun halves under the grill for 1 minute or until the cheese just melts. Then add sliced tomato, yoghurt sauce, shredded lettuce and any other desired toppings and then cover with the hamburger bun tops.
- Now, settle down with friends and family and enjoy the footy game!
