Grilled Mango & Banana Skewers

Ingredients (serves 8)

4 bananas, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
3 mangoes, skin removed, cut into 1-inch chunks
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup water
Cooking oil spray

Method

Step 1 Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium.
Step 2 Pour water and lemon juice into a bowl. Add banana and mango and soak for 20 minutes.
Step 3 Combine honey and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Step 4 Thread banana and mango onto skewers. Paint with honey-cinnamon mixture using a pastry brush and lightly spray with cooking oil.
Step 5 Cook on the grill or BBQ for 5-10 minutes, turning regularly.

Tip

To prevent burning, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
