1/2 cup instant oats
1 1/4 cups reduced-fat milk
2 tablespoons cup dried fruit medley
Reduced-fat milk, to serve (if desired)
Topping
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of walnuts, crushed
1 pear, sliced or cubed
Step 1: Place oats, milk and fruit in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to the boil. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until mixture is thick and creamy.
Step 2: Make pear topping: Place honey and nuts in a small, non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until heated through. Add pear. Toss to coat.
Step 3: Divide oat mixture between bowls. Top with pear topping. Serve with a small amount of extra cold milk if desired.
